By having a specified Ladies Night, we are committed to providing a place where women can mentor each other, have fun, and compare experiences with others who share a common interest in the shooting sports. The evening will include some classroom instructions (topics are based on input from the group) and of course shooting on the live fire range. Standard rules for utilizing the range will be enforced. Rental firearms are also available. Mondays from 6-8pm. Cost is 1 half hour credit.

Basic HandGun I Training
Sept. 1, 2015 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Two day class. Sep 1st 5-8 pm, Sep 8th 5-8 pm. Open for anybody who would like more training on handguns. Cost $59.99. Limit to 8 people. Will include a mixture of classroom and range firing. This class is for the beginner handgun owner or those who are interested in learning the basic fundamentals of handgun shooting. Participants will learn about revolver and the semi-automatic pistols, the differences between them, how to handle firearms safely, how they operate, how to unload and load each type, how to select a handgun and the fundamentals of shooting. We will cover stance, grip, aiming, trigger control, breathing and follow through. Also covered is how to clean and maintain your handgun. If you don't have a handgun, you can rent one from us for the class.
All firearm rentals are $25.00 for a half hour plus ammunition

Action Pistol Skills & Drills
Sept. 3, 2015 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Join us for a night of shooting drills designed to improve your gun handling and shooting skills. The 2x2x2, Plaxco Academy Drill, El Presidente Drill, Bill Drill, 4567 Drill, F.A.S.T, are all drills to improve your handgun skills. This is a fast paced course with safety in mind. Participants will need a center fire handgun, holster, 3 magazines, magazine holster, eyes and ear protection and approximately 125 rounds. Participants will be starting from a holstered position on some of the drills. A thorough knowledge and understanding of your equipment is necessary. Past participation in our Wednesday Pistol league or Thursday Action Pistol is recommended. If any questions, please call 218-822-2804. This course is limited to 15 participants.

Women's Beginner Handgun & Permit to Carry Class

-Class includes BOTH: Beginner Handgun Instruction and Permit to Carry Course
-Includes the required training course to qualify for a 5 year Minnesota Permit to Carry, which also counts as a 5 year Permit to Purchase
-Focus on specific topics pertaining to women, like how to avoid becoming a victim

Intro to action pistol
Sept. 17, 2015 - Nov. 5, 2015 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Action pistol league is open to all individuals who are interested in action type of courses of fire which combines speed and accuracy with shooting at a variety of targets.The goal is to promote the sport of action pistol and to help shooters of all levels to improve their shooting and gun handling skills. We will offer a variety of shooting events centering on safe proficient use of a handgun in a realistic setting. Required equipment includes a centerfire handgun, enough magazine capacity to have 30 rounds available (maximum of 10 rounds per magazine regardless of capacity), magazine holder, holster, ear and eye protection and approximately 100 rounds. Participants must have completed one of the follow: intro to action pistol class, competed in a Wednesday League, or already completed Action Pistol League. This is a six week league. There will be no league on September 24 and October 22 . Cost is $15.00 per night.

Flashlight/Low light Level Handgun Class
Oct. 6, 2015 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Learn how to adapt the principles of handgun operations to low light levels. Covered are the key principles of low light, techniques of holding the flashlight, and how to engage targets in low light. This is a classroom and live fire program.
• Participants must have a working knowledge of the operation of their handgun and equipment. Basic shooting skills and techniques are required.
• Class Date is 20 August, 2015 from 5:30-8:00pm
• Necessary equipment includes a centerfire handgun (no rimfire), 3 magazines, and magazine holder.
• Ear and eye protection

Beginner Crossbow Class

This class is for the beginner crossbow student. Instruction will be a total of two hours and include class and live fire range time. Max of five students per class. Participants must have their own crossbow. Cost is $29.99



Mills Wednesday Shooting League

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to shoot in a competition? Are you competitive, like more of a challenge, or just want to have fun, then Wednesday Night Pistol league is for you. Shooting league is a great way to sharpen your skills and meet other people who also enjoy the shooting sports. Our league is designed for the novice shooter yet still offers a challenge for the more seasoned. Join us this fall and show others what you and your favorite handgun can do. Each week will be a different target and shooting string. Participants will need a center fire semi-automatic or revolver, minimum 50 rounds, three magazines or two speed loaders. Confidence and skill sets will be built on basic fundamentals with a balance of speed and precision development. Participants will perform 2 hand strong, 2 hand weak, one hand strong, one hand weak shooting, malfunction corrections and magazine reloading drills.
