Ladies night is designated for women interested in the sport of shooting and or practicing with firearms they own for self defense. It's a night to bring women from all ventures of life, whether they have shooting experience or no shooting experience, together for an enjoyable evening. Staff will provide guidance, knowledge and assist you in overcoming your fears, developing the right techniques and building your confidence! By having a specified Ladies Night, we are committed to providing a place where women can mentor each other, have fun, and compare experiences with others who share a common interest in the shooting sports. The evening will include some classroom instructions (topics are based on input from the group) and of course shooting on the live fire range. Standard rules for utilizing the range will be enforced. Rental firearms are also available. Mondays from 6-8pm. Cost is 1 half hour credit.

Women's Beginner Handgun & Permit to Carry Class
July 7, 2015 @ 9:30 am - 5:00 pm
-Class includes BOTH: Beginner Handgun Instruction and Permit to Carry Course
-Includes the required training course to qualify for a 5 year Minnesota Permit to Carry, which also counts as a 5 year Permit to Purchase
-Focus on specific topics pertaining to women, like how to avoid becoming a victim
-Learn about handguns, including what to look for when choosing a handgun and holster
-Learn how to safely use a handgun, also includes handgun instruction and shooting exercise
-Understand the legal aspects of handgun possession and carry
-Please bring your handgun and 80-100 rounds of ammo. If you do not have a handgun, no problem! Rentals are available.

Basic Handgun I Training

Intro to Wednesday Pistol League

Want to shoot in a league but not sure if it is for you, come and try it out. Every Wednesday, Mills ISA will have preset programs for shooters of all levels to try. Required equipment will include ear and eye protection, centerfire handgun with three magazines, magazine holder, and approximately 50 rounds. This is for all shooters at all levels. This is an opportunity for you to try league shooting and to keep up with your skills. Stages will include moving, stationary, and timed targets. Cost is one shooting credit ($12.50). Shooting session packages are available. This is the same format that Mills ISA uses for the Fall, Winter and Spring leagues.

Kids ages from 11-14 years old will shoot from 11 am to noon. Cost is one archery credit ($2.00). Session packages of 10 or 20 sessions are also available. Minimum equipment needed is Bow, 3 arrows, and eye protection. Finger tab or release and arm guards are suggested also. Equipment is available for rent for an additional fee. This is a two day course Jul 14th 5-8pm and Jul 15th 5-8pm.
This is a fast paced course designed to improve your skills, accuracy, and engagement times. Confidence and skill sets will be built on basic fundamentals with a balance of speed and precision development. Participants will perform strong hand and weak hand shooting, malfunction corrections and reloading drills. Intro to action pistol
July 17, 2015 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Introduction to action pistol is open to all individuals who are interested in action type of courses of fire which combines speed and accuracy with shooting at a variety of targets. Everybody is welcome as long as you exercise safe gun handling skills, and use safe serviceable equipment. The goal is to promote the sport of action pistol and to help shooters of all levels to improve their shooting and gun handling skills. We will offer a variety of shooting events centering on safe proficient use of a handgun in a realistic setting. Required equipment includes a centerfire handgun, enough magazine capacity to have 30 rounds available (maximum of 10 rounds per magazine regardless of capacity), magazine holder, holster, ear and eye protection and approximately 100 rounds. This class is an all around introductory class geared towards both firearm owners as well as anyone looking to learn more about how to use an AR style rifle safely, effectively, and confidently. We will cover a variety of topics, including care and maintenance, assembly and disassembly, different styles and accessories, the seven fundamentals of shooting, and how to zero your rifle.
Required equipment:
Ear and eye protection, center fire AR style rifle, 100 rounds of ammunition, and one magazine.
Rifles can be rented for the class if you do not have one to use.

Ladies Night

Ladies night is designated for women interested in the sport of shooting and or practicing with firearms they own for self defense. It's a night to bring women from all ventures of life, whether they have shooting experience or no shooting experience, together for an enjoyable evening. Staff will provide guidance, knowledge and assist you in overcoming your fears, developing the right techniques and building your confidence! By having a specified Ladies Night, we are committed to providing a place where women can mentor each other, have fun, and compare experiences with others who share a common interest in the shooting sports. The evening will include some classroom instructions (topics are based on input from the group) and of course shooting on the live fire range. Standard rules for utilizing the range will be enforced. Rental firearms are also available. Mondays from 6-8pm. Cost is 1 half hour credit.

Handgun II Class
Aug. 18, 2015 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
This is a two day course Aug 18th 5-8pm and Aug 19th 5-8pm.
This is a fast paced course designed to improve your skills, accuracy, and engagement times. Confidence and skill sets will be built on basic fundamentals with a balance of speed and precision development. Participants will perform strong hand and weak hand shooting, malfunction corrections and reloading drills. Centerfire revolver or semiautomatic handguns only, no rimfire will be allowed. - More Information

Shoot 30 3D targets. All skill levels welcomed. Field points only. Range finders or crossbows not allowed. Shoot anytime from 12:00 to 7:00pm. Cost is $8.00

Intro to Wednesday Pistol League

Want to shoot in a league but not sure if it is for you, come and try it out. Every Wednesday, Mills ISA will have preset programs for shooters of all levels to try. Required equipment will include ear and eye protection, centerfire handgun with three magazines, magazine holder, and approximately 50 rounds. This is for all shooters at all levels. This is an opportunity for you to try league shooting and to keep up with your skills. Stages will include moving, stationary, and timed targets. Cost is one shooting credit ($12.50). Shooting session packages are available. This is the same format that Mills ISA uses for the Fall, Winter and Spring leagues.

Youth Archery
Aug. 20, 2015 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Come and join us for a Youth Archery League. During the summer months Mills ISA will have a Youth Archery League for all kids ages 6-14. Kids ages 6-10 years old will shoot from 5-6 pm. Kids ages from 11-14 years old will shoot from 6-7 pm. Cost is one archery credit ($2.00). Session packages of 10 or 20 sessions are also available. Minimum equipment needed is Bow, 3 arrows, and eye protection. Finger tab or release and arm guards are suggested also. Equipment is available for rent for an additional fee. Flashlight/Low light Level Handgun Class
Aug. 20, 2015 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Learn how to adapt the principles of handgun operations to low light levels. Covered are the key principles of low light, techniques of holding the flashlight, and how to engage targets in low light. This is a classroom and live fire program.
• Participants must have a working knowledge of the operation of their handgun and equipment. Basic shooting skills and techniques are required.
• Class Date is 20 August, 2015 from 5:30-8:00pm
• Necessary equipment includes a centerfire handgun (no rimfire), 3 magazines, and magazine holder.
• Ear and eye protection
• Approximately 100 rounds of ammunition.
• If you have a flashlight already bring it, or one will be provided.
• Cost is $29.99. Class is limited to 10 students. (Renting a firearm will be $25 per half hour plus ammo)
